The phone rings, it's a delight to see the number of Ken Beresford from Katherine Towing show up on the digital display, but when I answer, I hear: "What have you done to me Lizzy!?" When asked what was the matter, Ken explains that he has been running his fleet ragged trying to keep up with all the trips up to Darwin, out to Kununurra, over to Mount Isa and Down to Tenant Creek. Ken is worried that he's going to have to get more trucks and drivers, and soon!
It's not surprising that Katherine Towing is doing so well though, they have been faithfully serving the Northern Territory since the 1960s and have gained a huge local following in that time. Having an online presence has put a new spin on the situation though, because now visitors who are not familiar with the Territory can look up Katherine Towing on their mobile phone when they run into problems on those dangerous and isolated roads in the outback.
This is one time that I'm not sure I can help the customer with their issue, or if I even want to. It's really good to see a client with this much integrity and steadfastness finding well deserved success. Wishing all the best to you Mr Beresford, don't worry, I'm sure you will find a way to adapt to the influx of business.
